Frequently asked questions

What is Nexora?

Nexora is a healthcare workforce marketplace connecting Phoenix-metro assisted living and behavioral health facilities with verified Caregivers, CNAs, Behavioral Health Technicians, Medication Technicians, LPNs, and RNs for per-diem shifts.

Is per-diem work through Nexora 1099 or W-2?

1099 independent-contractor work, structured under Arizona's Direct Independent Business Support (DIBS) safe harbor (A.R.S. 23-1601). Professionals choose which shifts to claim; there's no minimum-hours requirement.

How does a professional get verified to claim shifts?

You create a free account, sign the required onboarding documents, and upload the credentials your role requires (photo ID, your license/certification, Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card, TB test, CPR/First Aid, and a Food Handler card). Our team reviews and verifies each one - the system will not let you claim a shift you're not verified for.

How is the pay rate shown?

The exact hourly rate is displayed on every open shift before you claim it - no negotiation, no blind offers.

What is the Facility Quality Index?

A transparency score shown to professionals before they claim a shift, reflecting how a facility actually behaves - cancellation history, approval speed, and repeat bookings from other workers.

How does Nexora verify attendance?

Clock-in requires being physically inside the facility's geofence. Timesheets generate automatically at clock-out, recording the exact hours worked for the facility to review and approve.

How does facility billing work?

Facilities are billed a flat, transparent hourly rate with Net-30 terms and every line itemized - no variable markups to track.

What compliance does Nexora automate for facilities?

Automated credential expiry sweeps, 90/60/30/7-day renewal reminders for every worker, monthly OIG/SAM federal exclusion screening logs, and Arizona APS registry gating - visible in a read-only compliance view for every worker on your schedule.

Does Nexora serve areas outside Phoenix, AZ?

Nexora's current wedge market is the Phoenix metro, with a focus on assisted living and behavioral health facilities. Expansion follows fill-rate and time-to-fill benchmarks.

How is Nexora different from a traditional staffing agency?

There's no recruiter negotiating on your behalf and no agency markup obscuring the rate. Facilities post shifts directly; verified professionals claim them directly; every credential check and compliance sweep runs automatically.
